ABOUT ME

Patricio Arroyo-Lesuisse, the Chilean tenor, commenced his artistic journey in his hometown of Concepcion, Chile. With a repertoire spanning from the Baroque to contemporary, he has performed across Europe, Asia, and South America. Recent engagements include guest soloist appearances at the Hannover Staatsoper and Innsbruck Staatsoper. From 2010 to 2019, he was a soloist in the Ensemble of Theater Aachen, preceded by his tenure as an ensemble member at Theater Lübeck.

On the operatic stage, he is renowned for his performances in the works of Monteverdi, Handel, Charpentier, and Gluck. His roles encompass Tempo/Il trionfo del Tempo e del disinganno, Lurcanio/Ariodante, Oronte/Alcina, Cleante/Le malade imaginaire, and the title role in Orphée et Eurydice. Notably, he excels in Mozartian tenor roles such as Ferrando/Così fan tutte, Tamino/Die Zauberflöte, Belmonte/Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni. Additional roles include Kudrjáš/Katja Kabanova, L'aumônier/Dialogues des Carmelites, Fritz/La grande duchesse de Gerolstein, and Almaviva/Il barbiere di Siviglia.

Equally proficient in contemporary opera and musical theater, Arroyo-Lesuisse has portrayed characters such as Antonio/The Tempest and Electrician/Powder Her Face by Adès, Pirelli/Sweeney Todd, and notably, Tony/West Side Story in a series of sold-out performances.

An esteemed concert soloist, Arroyo-Lesuisse has delivered memorable performances in numerous Bach Cantatas, Passions, and the Christmas Oratorio. He has served as the tenor soloist for Mozart’s Requiem and C-minor Mass, Mendelssohn’s Elias, Paulus, and Lobgesang, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Dvorak’s Requiem, and Saint-Saen’s Oratorio de Noel.

For the past decade, he has been dedicated to vocal pedagogy, currently serving as a singing teacher at the FRANZ LISZT University of Music in Weimar and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (HfMT) Cologne. He holds degrees from Musikhochschule Lübeck and UMCE (Metropolitan University of Science of Education )
